The aromas of an aged tawny are immediate. A mix of raisins and dried fruits with a slightly spicy lift emerges on the nose. The palate is balanced and almost bright, with its fresh acidity keeping it ticking along. There is plenty of aged material here, but the freshness and vibrancy of young fruit gives it that distinctive mouthfeel.
