Old El Paso Hard 'N Soft Taco Kit Mexican Style 350g

Make Taco Tuesday a weekly event with Old El Paso Hard 'N Soft Mild Taco Kit Chipotle Chicken. Each kit includes 5 Stand 'N Stuff™ Taco Shells, 5 soft tacos, 1 spice mix and 1 salsa for topping. With both hard and soft tacos in one kit, it makes 10 tacos in 30 minutes.

To make the most of your taco kit, just add 600g of lean beef mince, 1 onion, 2 handfuls of mixed lettuce, cherry tomatoes and 1 avocado, sliced. Heat a little oil in a frying pan and cook the onion until soft. Sizzle and stir the meat over high heat for about 5 minutes. Add the taco spice mix and ½ cup of water, then simmer until the sauce thickens.

Make the taco shells extra crunchy by preheating the oven to 180°C conventional (160°C fan-forced). Remove the taco shells from the plastic, keep the heatproof wedge inside the shells to retain their shape, fan the tacos slightly apart on a tray and heat for 5 minutes. Alternatively, place the taco shells on a microwaveable plate and heat for 30–40 seconds on full power at 1200 watts. Open the soft tacos pouch, discard the freshness sachet and microwave the soft tacos in the pouch on HIGH at 1100 watts for 15 seconds. Load the tacos with beef, lettuce, avocado, cherry tomatoes and saucy salsa. For a meat-free option, replace the meat with vegetables to make it vegan. As a top tip, replace the beef mince with chicken mince and add lots of chopped coriander.
