In 1847, the people of Krondorf began a wine industry that helped lay the foundation for what the Barossa is today. As custodians of this legacy, our winemakers craft modern expressions of signature Barossa varietals. Bright aromas of dark berry, chocolate and spice, with an intense palate of black fruit, subtle oakiness and fine, structured tannins.
Krondorf has been a fixture in the Barossa Valley since 1978, producing reds that typify all that is good about the region. Their recently introduced shiraz cabernet is a true example of the Krondorf style. Bright, vibrant fruit on a sturdy frame with ripe red fruit fleshiness, a backdrop of black currant, some wholesome Barossa chocolate earthiness, hints of complexing graphite, perfectly pitched oak tannins and some wicked shiraz spice kicking in at the finish. A supple and satisfying red that punches above its weight.
