
Directions for top loading machines
1. Set machine to longest was cycle, warm water(40°C) & lowest water level to cover fabric. Start cycle.
2. When machine is full add dye & 1 kg salt. Allow to agitate for 1 min. Add fabric & allow full cycle to finish.
3. Ensure the fabric is in the dye solution for at least 30minutes. (Interrupt the program and re-set if necessary).
4. Then push fabric to one side, add usual washing detergent & run normal wash cycle to remove excess dye.
5. Dry fabric away from sunlight & heat. Do not tumble dry after dyeing.
6. Clean machine immediately; wipe washer lid with bleach & rinse. Add 1 cup of bleach & detergent & run longest cycle with machine empty.
Directions for front loading machines
1. Add dye to drum, cover with 500g salt & add.
2. Run 40°C delicates cycle.
3. Then run 40°C cycle with detergent to remove excess dye.
4. Dry fabric away from direct sunlight and heat.
5. Clean machine: add detergent & run 40°C cycle with machine empty.
