Strawberry magenta colour with lifted aromas of fresh berries, cherries and a hint of spice. Tarrango is a light-bodied red wine that should be served slightly chilled. It is a juicy and refreshing wine, characterised by aromas and flavours reminiscent of red berries, with racy acidity and a delicate dry finish. Best enjoyed young and fresh.
Swan Hill
Tarrango is Australia's very own grape variety, having been bred by CSIRO in 1965, and championed by Brown Brothers for decades. The revitalized 2022 edition impresses from the start with its bright cerise colouring. Tantalizing aromatics of rose petal, cherry, red currants and pomegranate promise an orchard of flavour. The palate is essentially dry, with sufficient ripeness to accentuate the delicious light red fruit profile. The same red fruit notes, fresh, crisp and crunchy, can be found on the palate. This is a refreshing, fun, but not frivolous, wine to suit the masses of customers moving towards lighter-bodied reds. It's also ideal for those who enjoy good rosé but seek something just a little more substantial. Chill it and enjoy in casual, relaxed settings.
