The palate is juicy and fresh full of strawberry, cranberry and orange rind. It is smooth and medium-bodied with an acidity reminiscent of sour cherries and a modest amount of tannin giving it a dry finish. The essence of red fruit is truly the core of this wine.
Swan District
The guys get the fruit for this beautifully structured grenache from the Swan Valley. It makes sense because most of the State’s best grenache comes from the Swan, in particular some of those century-old gnarly things. Perfumed with enticing and engaging scents, a smooth seamless fruit-driven medium weight palate completes an excellent wine for current drinking.
